historical events during segregation

There is multiple influencers and events happen to help African American gain equality.

One of the event that played a part in this movement is 1957 "The Little Rock Nine and the Little Rock Central High School Integration".The nine teenagers became known as the "Little Rock Nine," and they were the first African Americans to enroll at Central High School in Little Rock. The Little Rock school board made a voluntary commitment to desegregate its schools three years prior, in response to the Supreme Court's decision. In the neighborhood, as in most of the South, this idea was incendiary and tinged with resentment.

Another event that happen was "The Greensboro Four and the Sit-In Movement".Four companions sat down at a Greensboro lunch counter on February 1, 1960. That may not seem like a historic occasion, but it was. The four individuals were African Americans, and they were seated in an area designated for non-African Americans. They took a stance against segregation by doing this.
